Mutinizer is the ninth solo album by musician John Wyatt Edgar, released in 2009. The album is an autobiographical account of JWE’s early post-college career and was an instant critical success. Widely considered to be one of the greatest albums of all-time, it was the final album before a decade-long musical hiatus.
As with previous albums, several songs were released as “singles” in the months leading up to its release. Musically, this album contains many of JWE’s longer and most complex tracks. Many critics pointed out the edgier lyrical content and more polished sound as vast upgrades over previous work. Tragically, the master tapes to this album were mysteriously lost, but the final mix has held up extremely well over the years.
